Must Haves for Your Sales Page

Want to create a services page that converts?

Every page of your website should guide your site visitor (think about how IKEA guides you though their store) this is what you want for your website, particularly your services page. The goal is they get to know you & your vibe, your services, and why they should invest - you build trust, establish credibility and inspire action. 5 must haves to include on your services page.

1. A HEADLINE THAT HIGHLIGHTS YOUR VALUE PROPOSITION - You want to create a headline that includes both the problem and the solution. Explain the problem your ideal client/customer is facing and how your services will provide them with the solution, lead them to the solution, ease their problem. You want this to be relatable and persuasive, but not cheesy or sales-y. Think about this like you’re talking to a friend if they had a problem and you had a solution and you really want the best for your friend, think about how would you talk to them, how would you share with them. This helps moves us out of business jargon mode and into real conversation.

2. DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PRODUCTS/SERVICES - Talk about what you create and why. Explain what you offer in a simple every day way. Do'n’t use technical terms or overly flourish your description. For example instead of saying, “a deliberately developmental organization and pedagogy.” (ummm, what doesn’t that even mean) You could say, “Whatever the age of your student, they will be welcomed, accepted, known, and guided throughout their academic journey.” These are descriptions from 2 different Montessori schools, which one sounds more relatable and inspires you to want to learn more about the school and what they offer.

3. REVIEWS & TESTIMONIALS - Testimonials and client reviews help build trust and credibility. People love to read about other’s experience with your service or product to see if they can relate. Research shows that 84% of people trust online reviews as much as friends and family. And over 90% of people read online reviews before they purchase something. Testimonials are super impactful, not only with influencing purchasing decisions, but they also positively affect your SEO, testimonials act as social proof, attracting organic traffic to your site.

4. PRICING INFORMATION - Different businesses and business coaches have debated this, but it’s a good idea to include at least a starting or minimum price. Adding this can streamline the sales process and answer potential client’s questions before they reach out.

5. CALLS TO ACTION - Did you know that 70% of Small Business Websites don’t have Calls to Action 😳😳😳? CTAs on your website tell clients & website visitors what action they should take next on your website. It directs your audience & increases conversions. After you described the problem, the solution, what you offer, why others loved it, and what it cost, the next step is to provide your site visitors a way to take their next step- to purchase, book, buy, schedule, enroll, or sign-up.
